Ira H. Goldfarb is the senior partner and Charles E. Green is the managing partner at the firm. Both are trial attorneys who focus on catastrophic personal injury cases and handle a wide range of cases including construction site accidents, products liability, wrongful death, premises liability, and motor vehicle cases. Sam Rosmarin is a trial attorney who heads our medical malpractice cases involving catastrophic medical malpractice injuries on behalf of victims or their families.
Ira H. Goldfarb is the senior partner and trial attorney at Friedman, Levy, Goldfarb & Green, P.C. Mr. Goldfarb focuses on catastrophic personal injury cases, handling a wide range of cases including construction site accidents, products liability, wrongful death, premises liability, and motor vehicle cases. As a seasoned trial attorney, Mr. Goldfarb brings a vast amount of diverse experience to the courtroom. Mr. Goldfarb started his career as a prosecutor when he was appointed a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of New York, serving as an assistant in the Office of the Special Prosecutor Investigating Corruption in the Criminal Justice System, from 1978-1982. He then entered private practice specializing as a trial attorney in a diverse array of cases including plaintiffs personal injury, negligence, insurance coverage, matrimonial and criminal defense matters.
Mr. Goldfarb joined the firm as partner in 1989. Since that time, he has won many precedent setting cases at the trial and appellate level which have been published in the Official New York State Court reports and the New York State Jury Verdict Reporter. Recently, he obtained a 2.65 million dollar verdict for a construction worker who plunged down a elevator shaft at a construction site, a 2.1 million dollar verdict for a sanitation worker who tripped over a defective metal plate on a city sidewalk, and a 5 million dollar verdict for a client injured in a motor vehicle accident. During his time at Friedman, Levy, Goldfarb & Green, P.C., Mr. Goldfarb has tried or settled over 50 cases whose value exceeded one millions dollars.
Mr. Goldfarb believes that scrupulous attention to detail, quick action, and thinking "outside the box" are the keys to maximizing the value of a clients case.
Mr. Goldfarb is dedicated to ensuring that each client is provided with personal attention and that each case is properly investigated in order to discover all possible defendants, all possible avenues of recovery, and all available insurance coverage, so that his clients will receive the maximum possible recovery.
Mr. Goldfarb graduated cum laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1975, with a BA in Economics. He received his J.D. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law in 1978, graduating with awards in Appellate and Trial Advocacy.
Mr. Goldfarb is admitted to the Bar of the State of New York, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the United States Tax Court. Mr. Goldfarb is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the New York State Bar Association and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
Charles E. Green
Charles E. Green is the managing partner at Friedman, Levy, Goldfarb & Green, P.C. Mr. Green has amassed a great deal of experience handling a wide array of personal injury cases including wrongful death, construction accidents, products liability, dental malpractice, premises liability, automobile accidents and municipal liability. Mr. Green also has extensive experience handling insurance issues involving subrogation, coverage disputes and workers' compensation audit and premium issues. In addition, he frequently represents injured individuals, medical providers and some of the nation's largest insurance carriers in arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association and Arbitration Forums.
Charles Green's cases been reported in the New York Law Journal and Official New York State Court reports and have resulted in legal decisions that have made new law. Mr. Green's cases have also been featured in the New York Daily News and Journal New, and many of Mr. Green's jury verdicts, including one in a dental malpractice case where his client was awarded $1,450,000 and another involving a ceiling collapse in an apartment where his client was awarded $872,500, were reported in the New York State Jury Verdict Reporter.
Charles Green has developed a reputation with his clients, insurance carriers and opposing attorneys as a skilled negotiator and a formidable trial lawyer who can quickly adapt to the ever changing situation in a courtroom. Mr. Green believes that only through careful attention to detail and thorough preparation can a case be successfully resolved. He also knows how important an injured person's case is to them, so Mr. Green handles every client's case, from the first meeting with the client up to settlement or rendering of a verdict, as if it is the only case he is handling. Mr. Green graduated cum laude from the State University of New York at Albany in 1987 and went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from the National Law Center at George Washington University in 1990. He was an associate at Friedman, Levy & Goldfarb, P.C. from 1990 to 1994 and a partner at Charles E. Green, P.C. and later Cinquemani & Green LLP until 2009.
Mr. Green is admitted to the Bars of the States of New York and New Jersey, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association.
Sam Rosmarin joined Friedman, Levy, Goldfarb & Green, P.C. in an of counsel capacity in 2005. He graduated from Cornell University in 1977 with a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations. He received his J.D. from the Boston University School of Law in 1980.
He is admitted to the Bar of the State of New York, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States Court of Federal Claims.
Mr. Rosmarin spent 15 years representing Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center (now New York Presbyterian). For the past 15 years, he has exclusively handled cases involving catastrophic medical malpractice injuries on behalf of victims or their families. His experience on both sides of this highly specialized area of law and the excellent relationships he developed with medical malpractice defense attorneys and their insurance companies over the past 30 years in this field has enabled him to achieve approximately 30 settlements in the past 10 years alone ranging from 1 million to 8 million dollars.
Mr. Rosmarin was described by a juror in one of his trials, who wrote a magazine article about that trial, as follows: "[W]e know, when it's his turn, that he'll be brief, that he'll go in and extract the exact testimony he needs with the precision of a surgeon."
